This includes but is not limited to managing and supervising all components of the family intake and stay experience, family referral process, volunteer services, monitoring facility operations/maintenance and the Family Room located at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

The Special Events Manager, in collaboration with the Chief Advancement Officer, oversees the chapter’s major fundraising events, including the Women’s Classic, Night Out at Fenway Park, Anniversary Gala, endurance teams (Falmouth Road Race, Boston Marathon, and Chicago Marathon) and peer-to-peer initiatives. Evening & Weekend Relief Manager Job Posting Position

Summary: RMHCNE-Providence is seeking a part-time, non-exempt Weekend & Evening Relief Manager position, reporting to the Director of Operations.

Relief Managers are responsible for the smooth operations of the RMHCNE-Providence House during their scheduled shifts. Shifts are four-, eight- and twelve-hour blocks, typically 5pm -9pm weeknights, 9am-9pm Saturday and/or Sunday, 9pm-9am(overnights) Friday and/or Saturday.

During overnight stays past 9:00 p.m., a normal sleep shift schedule is maintained except for responding to emergencies and time-sensitive family/guest or operational needs. All members of the Relief Manager team share rotation of on-call, overnight, and holiday shifts. Scheduling flexibility and a compassionate, positive attitude is a must. This position can amount to a total of 48 hours per month.

Per Diem Relief Managers – Boston Harbor

Ronald McDonald House of Boston Harbor is seeking part-time, per-diem Relief Managers to cover a variety of shifts such as weekend days, weekday nights and official federal/state holidays. Relief Managers are responsible for the smooth operations of the Ronald McDonald House Boston Harbor (located in the Navy Yard of Charlestown) during their scheduled shifts. Shifts are typically four-to-eight-hour blocks on the weekends or on holidays (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). Scheduling flexibility and a compassionate, positive attitude is needed, as you will be part of an organization that has an extraordinary mission to help “Keep Families Close.”

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a high standard of hospitality, making families as comfortable as possible throughout their stay at RMHC. Promote an atmosphere of warmth and support in the House and interact in a compassionate and respectful manner.
  • Assume primary responsibility for providing for family/guest needs. Ensure that the office, community space and playroom is clean and welcoming; complete light housekeeping duties such as laundry and cleaning, as needed, in our guest apartments to ensure a clean and welcoming space.
  • Remaining on the premises at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Experience and appreciation for working with diverse perspectives; cultural competency is required.
  • Ability to adapt and remain composed during stressful/crisis situations.
  • This is an interactive, family/guest-facing position that requires strong people-skills.

COMPENSATION:   

This position is a part-time, non-exempt, per-diem position and does not include benefits. The pay rate is $15.00 hourly and a feeling of doing abundant good while helping children and families who need it the most.
