As you prepare for this exciting opportunity, it’s important to understand our selection process. Runners are chosen based on their ability to effectively fundraise and their strong connection to and passion for the RMHCNE mission. We believe that each member of our team plays a crucial role in advancing our cause.  Each runner should have the ability to meet and exceed $12,500, which has been the Boston Marathon charity runner average.

Please note that, as a member of Team RMHCNE, you’ll be responsible for setting and achieving a fundraising goal outlined in your application and fundraising plan. In the event that you are unable to meet this goal, you’ll be charged the difference. We hold ourselves accountable to our mission, and your dedication to fundraising is integral to our success

Why Run for the Ronald McDonald House

Home Away From Home: When a child faces a serious medical crisis, families are often forced to travel far from their homes and support systems. Our runners help the Ronald McDonald House offer these families a place to call their home-away-from-home and live as normally as possible while their child undergoes the medical care they need. It’s a place of warm meals, comfortable beds, and a sense of community when they need it most.

Reducing the Financial Burden: Staying close to a hospitalized child can be incredibly expensive. Because of our runners’ efforts, families at the Ronald McDonald House can focus on what matters: their child’s recovery and well-being.

Strength in Community: The support runners provide creates a community of shared experiences. It allows families to connect with those who understand their journey, lifting spirits and offering vital strength.

Fueling Hope: Every mile run, every dollar raised, sends a powerful message to RMHCNE families that we are here for them. The generosity of our runners translates into the fuel of hope these families need as they face some of life’s greatest challenges, especially when it involves a family member.
