11th Annual Women’s Classic – October 7, 2018
On Sunday, October 7, 2018 over 400 women and girls took to the streets of the east side of Providence for our 11th Annual Women’s Classic Road Race. It’s the only all women race in RI and it includes many activities for the whole family! Many thanks goes to our sponsors: Arden Engineering 5K Run, Cardi’s Furniture 3K Walk, L.L. Bean Middle School Mile, Performance Physical Therapy Kids Festival. There were free kids’ races, a Health & Wellness Fair and a Kids Festival with a climbing wall and obstacle course.

10th Annual Women’s Leadership Awards – September 27, 2018
Thursday, September 27, 2018 marked the 10th Annual Women’s Leadership Awards. This year’s recipients were honored in ceremony held at The Rhode Island Foundation. Each year awards are given to celebrate influential women, in our community, who consistently make a positive impact and demonstrate exceptional leadership.

Lions Club of Scituate Golf Tournament – July 30, 2018
On Monday July 30, 2018 the Lions Club of Scituate hosted their annual charity fund raising event at Crestwood Country Club. 100% of the proceeds from this event benefited several Cancer programs including: RI Lions Children’s Cancer Fund, Ronald McDonald House of Providence, American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and other Cancer Charities. We are grateful for the ongoing support we receive from the Lions and we are thankful for their kindness.
3rd Annual Chocolate Milk Mile – July 22, 2018
On July 22nd, 2018 the 3rd Annual Chocolate Milk Mile was held at the Will Speck Memorial Track at Cranston High School West. 100% of the proceeds were donated to RMH Providence. The race consisted of 4 laps (1 mile), with a cup of chocolate milk at the beginning of each lap. 4 laps, 4 cups of chocolate milk all for RMH Providence! A huge thank you goes to the team who organized the race and to everyone who participated. Together you raised over $1,600 for RMH Providence and we are extremely grateful.

10th Anniversary Celebration Ronald McDonald Family Room at Hasbro Children’s Hospital – April 30, 2018
On April 30, 2018 we celebrated our 10th Anniversary of our Family Room at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. We were thrilled to welcome former families, hospital staff, volunteers, some who have been with us since the room opened, Nick, Ron & Pete Cardi as well as other supporters. Over the past 10 years, we have welcomed 18,000 families at the Family Room. Take a look at some pictures from the celebration.

Over 300 women and girls participated in the Arden Engineering 5K Race and the Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses 3K Walk, many children competed in the kids’ races and many organizations exhibited at the Amgen Health & Wellness Fair. A fun time was had by all! Many thanks to the incomparable Ronald McDonald House Providence Running Club for organizing the Women’s Classic for the past 10 years! Check out some photos here!
